128k MP3 Stereo (Broadband users)

Most people should be able to listen to our highest quality stream at 128k. If you have an AAC+ compatible player then the 64k AAC+ option below is almost as good as 128k MP3. As this is the most popular listening option, we have a number of servers around the world. When you tune in we will try to connect you to the closest server to your location where possible - it is best to ensure that you don't have your player in 'Shuffle' mode. If the system is able to get your location then you will see the distance of each server in Winamp's 'Playlist Editor'.

Winamp

48k MP3 (Mono)

This option is intended for people on slow broadband connections that are still unable to get the full 128k stream and are unable to play AAC+ streams. Slightly degraded sound quality.

24k MP3 (Mono)

This is for dial up users that are unable to listen to AAC+ streams or cannot keep a steady stream at 32k. This option is only recommended if you are in serious need of beats and can't get a decent quality on the other streams - this should be your last choice. Highly degraded sound quality.

64k AAC+ (Stereo)

This is highly recommended as the quality is virtually the same as 128k MP3 at half the bitrate. You will need a compatible player to play AAC+ streams such as Winamp v5.05+ or WMP with the codec plugin. 32k AAC+ (Stereo)

Highly recommended for dial up users or those with slow broadband connections, this stream is close to 128k and still in stereo so a much better alternative than 48k MP3. You will need a compatible player to play AAC+ streams such as Winamp v5.05+ or WMP with the codec plugin.
